International health insurance specialist BDAE wins Assekuranz Award

BDAE has won the jury prize at the Assekuranz Award for its unique concept around insurance abroad.

The company was praised for its high level of expertise, and for the variety of the solutions it offers its clients. Those clients are mainly people who plan on staying abroad for an extended or indefinite period, whether for business or private purposes, and who need suitable health insurance protection that can no longer be covered by travel health insurance.

It was the second time in a row that an independent jury of experts presented the awards of the Mein Geld Media Group.

Expert-made long-term global protection

In their statement, the jury of experts said to have found the range of benefits offered convincing. For example, chronic pre-existing conditions or congenital diseases can be insured, even for an unlimited period and worldwide.

The underlying advisory service for insured persons, employers who send their employees and for intermediaries whose clients ask for such a specific product was also said to be outstanding.

"This award shows that our special know-how in the field of international insurance and international employee deployment meets the current needs and necessities of the market. For the past 25 years, we have worked with our great and experienced team to develop and optimise insurance products for people going abroad for longer periods”, said BDAE CEO Philipp Belau.

About the Assekuranz awards

The Assekuranz Award, the first insurance-only award in Germany, is intended to present to a broad audience the most successful concepts of insurance provider. The Assekuranz Award cover achievements in a total of 13 categories - life, health, digital life, digital health, digital property, innovation life, innovation health, innovation property, sustainability life, sustainability health, sustainability property and marketing.

In addition, a special jury prize is awarded to a company whose special achievement stands out, but which cannot be classified in the given categories. The expert jury consists of experienced representatives of the insurance industry.

The second edition of the Assekuranz Awards took place in Frankfurt on October 13th, 2022.
