What is, what was, what will be: update from the BDAE
During our employee meeting on 15 May 2024, important changes and news for BDAE employees were announced.
The focus was also put on BDAE's position within its affiliated companies MSH (MSH International) and Diot-Siaci.
Reorganisation of the sales department at BDAE
BDAE is focussing on the national and international expansion of the brokerage business as well as the corporate and private customer business. The cooperation with BDAE Consult is to be intensified in order to expand the sales area.
Ingo Trosiner was appointed as the new Sales Director on 1 May in order to drive this forward. He is now responsible for the entire sales and customer service area and will be supported by Thorsten Otte, who will lead the team in disciplinary terms. This means that there is now a dual management team in the customer service area.
Torben Roß, who worked as Sales Director for BDAE in previous years, will be working in the Insurance & Product Development division.
Further personnel changes
BDAE Consult has been strengthened: Carina Stotzke joined the Consult team on 17 May. She will be responsible for coordination and administration at Consult and will support the team in areas such as notifications.
It is with a heavy heart that we have to say goodbye to Anne-Katrin Schwanitz. She has been responsible for corporate communications and marketing for the past 15 years and has helped to strengthen BDAE and consolidate the brand image. She is now taking on a new challenge. We wish her all the best of luck!
Diot-Siaci, MSH and BDAE
A key topic of the meeting was also the position of the BDAE Group in the context of MSH and Diot Siaci.
The DIOT-SIACI Group is a leading provider of brokerage and consultancy services on the European insurance market. With more than 5,000 employees worldwide, it insures five million people. The group unites over 60 nationalities and more than 50 languages.
MSH is a subsidiary of Diot-Siaci and operates worldwide. With 1,150 employees and 500,000 policyholders in 200 countries, MSH is a major player in the international insurance market. MSH has five main branches in Toronto, Paris, Tunis, Dubai and Shanghai as well as 21 service branches plus local partners.
BDAE has been a wholly owned subsidiary of MSH International since 2024. With around 60 employees and its own in-house consultancy for international employee employment, BDAE specialises in IPMI (International Private Medical Insurance).
MSH acts as a broker, third-party administrator (TPA) and managing general underwriter (MGU) and has a strong focus on corporate clients. In contrast, BDAE has focussed on IPMI and international insurance solutions for over 50 years.
Clear focus on product development
BDAE has a clear focus on product development. The aim is to provide customers with a clear product line that covers individual needs, whether professional or private, in the area of insurance abroad and for people coming to Germany from abroad.
A new customer app is expected to be launched in July and is currently in the test phase.
Overall, BDAE is facing exciting changes and challenges in order to strengthen its position in the international insurance market and meet the needs of its customers. The employee meeting offered a comprehensive insight into the future of the organisations and the strategic course being set.
